Worn by 1000s of swimmers every day, WAVE wearables come in two types: an ultralight headset called a Tracker, or GoggleClips that attach easily to any pair goggles.
The wearables are waterproof and very lightweight. There's no buttons, and they activate automatically when they sense motion.
DROWNING DOESN'T LOOK LIKE DROWNING.
Visually determining that a person is at risk– either by a human or AI supported camera– is extremely difficult. That's because a victim can appear as though they are simply playing or swimming underwater.
Often by the time a camera system alerts guards, the victim is already well into the drowning process. Time to intervene becomes even more critical– and the event that much more dangerous.
Instead of a vision-based approach, WAVE accurately determine how long a swimmer's face remains fully submerged–unable to breathe– and will warn your guards of a prolonged submersion well before the event has time to escalate.
In addition, unlike vision-based systems, WAVE is not impacted by dark or murky water, reflections, blind spots, low lighting, or bather load.
Remote Alert Units provide remote notifications of events and can be positioned away from the swim areas, such as at front desks or offices.
The SpeakerHub unit also provides spoken audio notifications informing staff of the type of warning (prolonged submersion or lifeguard entry) and where it is taking place.
Both units are powered using a micro-USB cable and AC wall adapter.
Exit Detectors are mounted on walls or poles near your swim area's exits. Each unit will beep and blink to remind swimmers leaving the swim area to return their wearable to storage.
Exit Detectors are powered via a lower power USB cable plugged into a small power adapter, so it's ideal to have a nearby wall outlet in place.

Self-Serve Wearable Distribution & Storage
Your system's wearables are conveniently organized and stored in either a free-standing Storage Tower or a Wall-Mounted Storage Unit.
Both units are designed to be self-serve and make getting and returning wearables easy and intuitive– even for younger swimmers. Typically no supervision is required.
The Guardian Hub is the brains of your system and is the source for audio & visual "Public Warnings" during either SSA or LEA events. Guardian works with Monitors to provide coverage of the entire swim area.
The Guardian Hub is portable and can be powered by all-day rechargeable batteries or plugged into a nearby wall outlet. It should be positioned at least 8 feet above the water, and can be mounted on a wall, pole or any elevated flat surface.

Location Indicators are mounted on walls, poles or floats around your swim area. During an event the unit(s) likely closest to the swimmer in trouble will flash to help guide rescuers.
Location Indicators are powered by a lower power USB cable plugged into a small power adapter or via a swappable battery pack.
As the name implies, our systems include a primary Monitor which is used to monitor the real-time status of all WAVE wearables. Remote Monitors are additional devices used anywhere throughout your facility that might be out of range of the primary Monitor. An example would be a locker room or a bathroom where your swimmers might go with their wearables still on.
If they are needed, the type of Remote Monitor deployed will depend on your facility's layout. Your WAVE representative will discuss the various options with you to determine if they are needed and the right type to deploy
Your system is managed via the user-friendly WAVE Management App. The app enables customized settings for your system, pop-up notifications, alerts, real-time activity views, and more.
We recommend using our dedicated Samsung® tablet computer which is protected by a ruggedized outer case. However, the app can run on any web-enabled device such as desktop computers, laptops, phones and tablets.

Staff Bracelets are waterproof wireless bracelets worn by your guards. If a swimmer is submerged longer than a preset time, the Bracelets will vibrate first to notify guards that a swimmer might be at risk during Swimmer Submersion Alerts.

Lifeguard Tags are worn by guards or attached to equipment. The small tags are used by WAVE to detect if the lifeguard enters the water.
Lifeguard Tags are small waterproof wireless tags that attach to the guard's clothing or their equipment.
There's no buttons or recharging required. The tags automatically activate when they detect motion, and have a projected battery life of 18 months.
PEACE OF MIND DOES COME IN A BOX.

The Guardian Hub works with Monitors to create a virtual safety net over your swimmers, checking on the status of each wearable twice every second.
Guardian is the "brains" of your system and provides either audiovisual Swimmer Submersion Alerts, Lifeguard Entry Alerts or both.
GUARDIAN HUB SPECS

Because Guardian is wireless and battery- or AC- powered, your WAVE system can be used wherever you need it, from permanent use at indoor pools to taking along on trips to remote natural waterfronts.

Some swimmers may forget that they still have their wearable on when they leave your facility's swimming area.
Similar to theft deterrents found at stores, the optional Exit Detectors are placed near doorways, hallways and exit areas. Audio notifications and a flashing LED will remind forgetful users to return their wearables before leaving.

The small devices can be mounted to walls, poles and more. They are powered 24/7 by the included USB wall adapter, so a nearby outlet is required.
With no visible buttons, the speaker volume and range sensitivity are wirelessly adjustable.

GOT GOGGLES? NO PROBLEM.
Our Goggle Clips will quickly make any standard pair of goggles WAVE-enabled and ready to use with your system.
As the name implies, left- and right-side Goggle Clips clip onto most goggle straps and are connected by a lightweight tether for easy organization and storage.

LOCATION INDICATORS
Location Indicators are positioned around the perimeter of your designated swim area.
If WAVE determines that a swimmer is at risk and starts to warn your staff, the Location Indicator(s) closest the last known location of that swimmer will begin to flash their strobe lights.
The flashing strobe serves as a visual aid for rescuers to quickly locate the potential victim.
Location Indicators are designed to work with your existing rescue protocols. Do not rely solely on Location Indicators when performing a search and rescue.

Location Indicators are waterproof and powered by a 3-day* exchangeable battery pack, solar panel, or via an AC adapter.
For on-water use, dense foam floats will keep the units stable and upright all season long.
Exchanging battery packs can be done from a boat or kayak.
Tie-down features are available for running lines to docks, buoys or small anchors.
* Projected battery life. Actual battery life may vary based on frequency of system alerts.

For those facilities with very large or multiple pools, Location Indicators can be wall- or pole- mounted.
During an event, the flashing strobe will assist guards in determining which pool, or area in a large pool, the potential victim is likely located.

STAFF BRACELETS.
Staff Bracelets are wireless, battery powered and waterproof. They have no buttons or visuals to distract your guards from watching over swimmers.
Bracelets are size-adjustable and can be easily exchanged during shift rotations.
Their internal battery provides several days of use before requiring an overnight charge using the included USB charger.
YOUR GUARDS WILL KNOW AS SOON AS A SWIMMER IS SUBMERGED LONGER THAN YOU WANT.
Bracelets provide very noticeable vibrations, ie "Staff Warnings", as soon as any swimmer remains submerged for the time present by your facility.
By vibrating the bracelets before the Hub's audiovisual "Public Warnings", your guards have the opportunity to investigate before the event can escalate.
Optionally, by muting the Hub's speaker and turning off its strobe light, Staff Bracelets can be used to discreetly notify your staff of an event without alarming or disturbing your patrons or guests.
